ok, has anyone compiled a list on the WMS of different axles. what i'm looking for is the WMS of the stock Dana 30/35's in comparison to Scout D44 (ft & rear), waggy D44 (ft & rear) and early cherokee axles? i wanna awap axles, but wanna maintain close to stock axle width with out haveing to chop and axle.

there's tons of stuff on that.
Most guys do an explorer 8.8 in the rear and
leave the 30 in the front. They are almost the
same width and you get to keep your 5x4.5
bolt pattern. Just do a google search on jeep
axle swap and you'll get more pages than you
care to read

This is going from memory but if I recall correctly from my own research two years ago when I put my waggy's in:
D30/35 - Approx 60"
Front Waggy 44 - 62"
Rear Waggy 44 - 58"
The waggy's make a nice swap for a YJ, at least I'm very happy with mine.:D

Unfortunately I never got around to putting anything together with mine, though I'll be happy to answer any questions that you have. When I was doing my research the writeup that Janster on this board has was a fantastic resource.

The buildup under "The original build" is when they put their waggies in. She did a fantastic job of documenting everything they did and I picked up allot of good tips there.
