Yeah yeah, I know IFS sucks. But I have a problem wiht my Wifes 99 S-10 blazer, and even the dealer can't figure this one out.

The problem?? It clunks, but only when turning right. I checked the ball joints, replaced the sway bar bushings, tightened EVERYTHING, checked motor mounts and tranny mount.

WTF could it be?? It will not clunk over speed bumps or when turning left, but only when turning right. It's driving me nuts, and I am sick of the dealer looking at it, not finding it and then having the fawkin nerve to try and charge me for it. :mad3:

Anybody got any suggestions on what to check next?

I had one (an '86) that did the same thing, and it was a bad mount for the crossmember that held the torsion bars.

Torsion bar crossmember. Definitly. We have had this question too many times over at www.s10-4x4.org

They will be a complete pain in the ass, but they can be changed at home. The trick is to trim down the stud. Try all you can to get it in without cutting down that stud, but you can trim it if it comes down to it.
