What the heck is it? Some sort of manual water injection? The dash mounted part looks like the primer on my kids snowmobile.

After asking the combined genius of the Willystech list. Regis, I believe the answer is manual windsheild washer.

I don't have one that say Jeep, but do have one that says AMC from a '66 Rambler Ambassador (still in the car actually). There's a little foot pedal up under the dash that actuates the pump.

yep...my '69 j-truck had one of those little red bags

I got one on my '69 Jeepster Commando. 'cept mine's from a Kaiser and uses an electirc pump. Still works too.
