Anyone runnig a drop trac bar bracket with your tie rod flipped? I installed WH drop bracket and with a flipped tie rod it looks like the tie rod may hit the bracket under articulation.

yep it will hit my buddy did that. to fix it he took off the drop bracket, and then to minimize bump steer we retapered a pitman arm so the tie rod went above the pitman arm. This was with the F150 2wd power steering conversion. Witht he other power steering options you would not want to do this.

I thought so. It looks like I can shorten the drop bracketand redrill another hole higher up for the trac bar bolt. Holding the bar where the new hole would be puts the drag link and trac bar perfectly parallel. Thanks.

J,

If it's not too late to take that thing back. I have the plans to do a track bar raise bracket on the passenger side and I've got enough material to do two if you're down. A friend of mine did his and he hasn't had any problems with anything hitting.

Hey Jack
Do you have any pics of that setup? E-mail me some if you do.
Quite a few changes to my ride since you saw it.

I've done a bit of work to mine since we last met up as well. The season for wheelin is getting closer and closer!

I emailed my buddy for pics of his setup. It's nice. Here's the recipe...

First, remove your bump stop.

Then take a 3 or 4 inch piece of 2x2 box steel. Cut the face at a slight angle (to match top of existing bracket)

Drill holes for old bump stop in top of 2x2
Take a piece of plate and drill 2 holes in it. The bottom is for the existing bolt on the lower trac bar mount. The upper is for the new.

Put the new bolt through the top hole and weld it inside and out.

Weld the hole thing together.

Then cut (grind) the bottom bolt flush with the piece of plate and run a bead around it and grind it flush again.

Done!

I need to do this within the next couple of weeks. Would probably take the same amount of time to do 2 as it would 1 if you want to hang out and get your hands dirty.
