Need an electric fuel pump for the project, doesen't have to be a fancy race pump, just enough to push feed a 600 cfm carb on a 302. Anyone come across a good carburated electric fuel pump cheap at Autozone or whatnot? Like a $20-$30 5-7PSI universal-style?

I'm using one from Napa, I don't have the number offhand, but I can look at it tonight. It is about 2x3x3" and is rated for 7psi. It kept a pretty snotty 351W happy at 4-6000 rpm for several minutes at a time, for several events.
I don't know how much it cost, because it came mounted on the frame of a retired race rig. I've been using it for a full season of tough trucking now, no probs.

Go to Summit Racing and check out their Holley Blue and Red pumps, they are good pumps and are fairly affordable.

Stock carb fuel pumps are mostly mechanical, and my prob is I have a 92 mustang motor, so no fuel pump eccentric on the cam to drive one, and really don't want to tear it down and install one. If theres a cheap easy way to NAPA out of this, I'm all about it. the Holley, Eddy and Carter are nice pumps, but they are overkill, something to feed 250 horsepower is all I need. The budget is pretty tight, the holleys/carters are going upwards of $60+ USED on ebay, and I'd rather have something with a return warranty on if possible.

when i was running a carb on my bronco, i got a universal from auto zone, i told them to use one for a 84 fullsize bronco with a 351. cost me about $35.
worked great. i still use it now as the low pressure/pusher pump in my efi fuel system.:smokin:

I am curious of why you are using a 92 mustnag 5L and a carb? It's a HO roller motor that came from the factory with the slick easy FI.

The truck came setup for Duraspark/carb, much cheaper this way, and I had most everything sitting around for it. I would have loved to run the EFI setup, but $$ was tight, just need it to run right now, I'll probably run EFI later on.
71BRONC-Thanks for the offer, I told a guy on one of my mustang boards I'd buy his, we'll see if he gets it out here to me.
