I just finished up a run of doublers for the np-231 T cases and want to hit the 241 cases next, But well I made a doubler set up for one about 2 years ago I don`t realy know jack about them,
(1) is it the same case as a 208?
(2) Do they come it right and left drop?
(3)what years were they used in?
(4) full size only?
(5)input spline counts?

1-Not the same as the 208
2-They do come in passenger and driver drop models(they are clocked in different places depending on side as well)
3-88-91 K5's got P-drop cases and 88-98 trucks were equiped with them
4-S10's got 231's or similiar IIRC, 241' were fullsize only.
5-1/2 tons got 27spline input and output(slip yoke), 3/4 ton and 1 ton got 32 spline input and output(slip yoke, both got 32 spline front outputs.

I think bggrnchvy pretty much nailed it. How about filling us in on these doublers your making, I am interested.

This is true, I was just generalizing trying to inform what trucks came with what as opposed to what transmission selection came with what.

You use the 241 as the crawl box I believe and a 205 as the full t-case with a shaft output.

Yes I`m looking at using the 241 as the crawl box. I did one about 2 years ago and the guy liked it, Know I`m hunting for a 241 box to make a new kit just like the 231 kits I`m just finishing know. I well have the shafts mid week back from the heat treaters and well post picks and a price then.

I keep watching Ebay for a 241 case but about all I`m finding is 208 cases, thats why I was wundering if the 208 uses the same case?

Their not the same case the back half is totally differant than the 208

I just picked up two 208 Chebbys today and should have the proto type done for them in a few weeks.

Damm these 208 have a huge main shaft, its all most 2 1/4" dia and the 231 is just under 1 3/4" dia.
