i asked in general and i didnt gret any really good ideas...

anyone know how to get more flex, i could adjust my shocks and trim my bumpstops (about a days work for another few inches on the ramp) but is it worth it?

what else can i do?

that whole area we played on was all carved up and is halfway through being bulldozed for an industrial estate, and the blade grass i was trampling is actually all bulldozed now (tread lightly) the government and thier bulldozers should be in trouble not me!!
the local council have knocked down complete forests just to run a few lanes of highway through it (for CARS to drive on) so i dont think a few blades of grass is gunna hurt (seeing its all been bulldozed and burnt now anyways)

and then another poser shot.....and why not?

so how do i get more flex out of it?
ill get a ramp shot of it, fully flexed out under a forklift soon and show ya, it does go better than those ones, but id still like more!

thats a GQ patrol 1995 RX model with 35" savero mud campaigners on it, and US wheel 15 x 10 chromies 8" coil lift 30mm coil spacers, 2" body lift,

and stuff, the other is similar but a few years older and not lifted....yet, im helping hime with it

i dont know why everyone wants to laugh at me, they are EXACTLY the same tyres, everyone just wants to give shit to my ride, just cause its not a total beaten up junkyard truck, and i spend a few hours keeping it looking tidy everyone digs on it
just because i take it offroad doesnt mean it has to be treialered to and from and have a dinted up body and panels

as an example i have seen metalmenders rigs and they all, at least to me look insanely clean and tidy, and he goes pretty hard (from what ive seen) so its not impossible

Is that a 12H-T or a 2H with a turbo added on? If it's a 2H - did you do anything with the compression ratio? You probably know that the 12H-T is the stock turbo diesel from the 60 series.

If you are limited in these shots by your bumpstops or shocks then that is obviously how you would get more "flex"

As tall as you are with those 35's, you would not need bumpsops at all.

Take the shocks OFF and then go flex it up and see if you get more. If so then you need new shocks.

Take measurements and buy the proper shock. IH8MUD has an Excell spreadsheet with every shock in the world on it..it's insane.

OK, if you are not getting the flex you want without the shocks attached and you are not hitting the bumpstops then you need to get some flexier/longer springs.

From the looks of it, you are running OME (or equivelent) 2.5" lift springs on a Spring Over.

Although they do work better over the axle than under, you still have to work against the friction of an arched spring pack in order to get the springs to compress and fall away.

Flat longer springs will give you better ride/flex. With the abundance of FJ-45's in OZ, I would be running '45 rear springs on all 4 corners...

Super long and you could remove leafs until you found the right combination.

Finally, make sure your shackle bolts are not too tight or your bushings aren't seized up.

AS for the muffler $29.95 at the local autozone. I almost got one for the moab run next month but they only fit up to a 2" exhaust :( :flipoff2:

tooker......its a 2H yes i did something with compression, but instead of decompressing (or lowering the compression ratio) ive shaved it a bit and increased the compression, and i run big boost, yeah it wont last as long, but it gives insane horsies, for a diesel
