Wierd thing happened to me the other day...

Started my 78 CJ5 and the heater core was leaking radiator fluid all over the floor. I thought my heater core had blown a leak, but it stopped doing it the same day?!?

Anyone know why it would do this?

Also, my heater does not kick on to full unless I tug on the Defrost knob and pull it all the way out, anyone got any ideas on how to fix that? I thought it was a short, but Im thinking it is the heater now.
