OK. The gear ratio is Pathetic(1.94 to 1) However there are a lot of things I like about it. For one, when it is mated to a sm465 it is the same length as a sr4 and dana 300. That made the swap nice and easy. Second, the rear output yoke is much lower in comparison to the dana 300. The rear yoke is at the very bottom of the t-case. I was able to gain about 2 inches more clearance and keep the same(maybe even a little better) drive shaft angle.
My question is how dependable is it? I know parts might be hard to find but time is cheap. However I dont want to spend all my time messing with it. I would rather be wheeling.
The one I have now came out of a 69 chevy(I think) possibly 68. I got the sm465 and the rockwell case for 180$
Tell me how well off I am...or bad off.
