Has anyone ever used 2.5" spacers on their toy axles? Did you experience any breakage or extreme premature failure of any axle parts due to them? I just ordered some to keep the tires off my lower suspension links and for some added stability. It's off-road only, so bearings will be ok. I was just wondering about the knuckle?

Wow, that's a lot. You're going to have some extra long wheel studs on that puppy. Another option would be the use of extremely off-set wheels. They'd make your front and rear axle the same, and give you the kind of back spacing you're looking for.

Where did you get them, I tried to get them from performance wheel a month ago and they told me 2" was the max. The performance wheel spacers come with a second set of studs pressed into the spacer, so there's no need for super long studs.

If you had 2" backspaced wheels then that would be the same as running a 2" spacer per side and having regular wheels, lots of people have that kind of backspacing on their steel wheels and they seem to be ok, the spacers will make your brakes stick way out of your wheel which may look a little funny but I guess thats it

well I would only need 1 1/2 spacers if us wheels wouldn't have fucked me over. I ordered 2" backspace and waited 1 1/2 months and then they sent me 3" backspace rims. They won't let me return them and since I will need spacers anyways I just went ahead and got the 2 1/2" er's. So technically I have the same as 2" backspace and 1 1/2" spacers. So, no one has had any probs with the knuckle or bearings? What about bashing the brakes or dust shield?

Nope, but I'm running mine in the rear only, the full width chevy gives me plenty of stance in the front. Then again, mine are coming off this weekend, making way for the full width rear.
