OK, can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere so here goes. If I do a SOA on my flatty using YJ or Waggy springs, how much lift can I expect over stock flatty springs SUA? I know the YJ's have less arc to them. I want to get the most flex I can with the least amount of lift and really don't want to cut the body.
Thanks

I don't know if this will help you much but when I did my SOA on my YJ I got about 5" - 5.5" of lift from it.

Thanks for the reply. That's kinda what I'd expect using the same springs. The YJ's have less of an arc than stock flatty springs though so I'd expect less lift.

ok... this SOA lift thing is realllllllllllllllllly easy to figure out..... take the thickness of your new pack + the diameter of your axle tube + the height gained from spring perches + amount of litf (if its a lift spring) = the lift you acheive SOA + or - depending on the amout the new springs will sag compared to the old ones.

Sceep, that would work IF I was using the same springs. What I'm looking for is the amount of lift when doing a SOA on YJ or Waggy springs compared to standard ride hieght of a cj2/3 SUA on stock springs. If I was to do a SOA on the stock springs I could figure ~5.5" of lift. But the YJ's and Waggys have alot less arc to them so it would be ~5.5" minus the difference in spring arc.
