Hey, has anybody made their own brackets for the toyota power steering swap? It wouldn't be hard to make an adapter for the box, but mounting the pump is my main concern. Does anyone have pics or advice cause don't really wanna pay $275 for brackets, thanks. <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0">

i just used the stock pump bracket and welded some angle iron mounts to it. bolted it to right side of the head. 2 bolts holes are tapped and then the rear uses the first 2 bolts off the header for extra support. it's right where my ac compressor was hooked up. piece o' cake <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Thanks for the idea poppy, guess I was just too darn lazy to think up myself. I will have to try that. Did you just drill new holes in the frame for the box or did ya make an adapter plate for it? I live on the westside, off of cooperpoint. Rig is on jacks right now waiting for the coil kit to come and install some more stuff before I can wheel, but wouldn't mind meeting ya. I got the power steering off a 80 celica at Johns junk yard by your house. You should do the same cause there is plenty of them suckers out there! Think I am gonna get the 37's this paycheck. It's gonna be awesome. Maybe after work one day I will stop by or somethin. There sure are alot of sammis poppin up all over around here, especially in lacey

Yup, got it off that black one. If you get one out there I suggest you use the jack I left under it or you will never get that sheit off! Who is your girl friend, maybe I know her, but probably not? I live off 20th and then you take a right on Grove rd at the top of the first hill. My parents house is the really crappy one with a jeep in the yard(it's my friends, not mine...) Your welcome to stop by, but their isn't much to see right now though. Maybe in a month or two I will have something to show. I would wrather take a look at your rig man! Looks pretty good to me. Yeah, that was me <IMG SRC="smilies/blush2.gif" border="0"> I have no mud flaps, my tires stick out to far, my revers light is now my turn signal and I had no rear shocks. after all that, I got a driving while license suspended ticket <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0"> when I didn't even know it was suspended <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0"> I go to SPSCC on mondays and fridays from 5-7:30 but other than that I am usually home in the evenings. If you see a red 4runner and the suzuki there I will most likely be there. I will swing by and check out your zuk sometime while I am in the area.
