Are toyota leaf springs 2"'s wide or 2.5"'s wide?? The Total Chaos website states that they have a low profile ubolt/leaf spring plate for Toyota's that accepts 2" wide leaf springs but I was under the impression that Toyota leaf springs are 2.5"'s wide and didn't know if this was a typo or not as this plate would fit my Nissan springs as well if they are 2.5"'s wide and the plate would accept them as well...Thanks!!

So, do you own a Toyota Truck?

Opps You own a Nissan!!!!!

Holly shiat!!! Should I ban this guy or what :flipoff2:

J/K, Toys are bit less than 2.5, A lot of us use Springs that are 2.5". and the products availble for Toy springs work fine with them.

Any of the Toy parts vendors can hook you up with decent plates.

What are you doing? A Flip?

No, not a flip...leaving the SUA setup as is but am attempting to move the shock mounts, that the OEM design has attached to the ubolt leaf plate, up to the rear of the axle...so I will need new ubolt leaf plates...and given the lack of aftermarket for Nissans I was hoping that Toyota leaf springs would be the same size--2.5"'s as the Nissans and thus could use the Total Chaos low profile ubolt leaf plate...

Man, did you post this in the generally hate Nissans forum? I have Yota rear springs as spares and they fit my Nissan perfectly. I also run front Marlin Crawler leaf packs and they fit just the same as my Waggy leafs did. Same length, sameish width, just military wrapped and the pin hole is like a couple inches forward of stock. You should have no worries.

Ends up that stock Toyota leafs are approx. 2.36 inches wide--but--most aftermarket Toyota owners move to something like Deaver leafs--which are 2.5 inches wide--same as Nissans. This means that the ubolt/leafspring plate that Total Chaos offers for Toyota's on their site fits Nissans just as well---Total Chaos is in the process of correcting the typo on the Toyota rear suspension page to correctly state that the plate fits leafs that are 2.5 inches wide vs. 2 inches wide that the website currently and incorrectly states...

I use 4" lift springs from 4wheel parts. Designed for a 79-88 toy truck rear. But they are the same length and width.

The center pin is 1.5" forward of the Nissan. Check out some pix on my website SAS page.

im using rancho 44044 springs for my front and toy 4" rears on my nissan. front i am sua. the rear are the same as nissannuts. Have a bit of rake now just waiting for the rear springs to settle a bit. if they dont i'll probably take them off move my 44044 to the rear and go spring over and put the original waggy springs up front.

seems like there are a million spring combos out there..
