well i'm getting a deal on a spring over axel lift, but money is a problem after that. i am aware you need cross over steering or a drop pitman arm, or something, and i was wondering what the cheapest(ok quality) way to go is. has anyone ever rigged up something on their own? or built their own? any ideas will help
thanks

If you don't have the tooling to do it right (welder, good torch, etc.) it's better and cheaper to buy it pre-made.
$125.00 and its done. Heavy duty with a new tie rod end.

I made my own cross-over steering for $20. If you have a die grinder, good drill press, and the welding know how it isn't hard. That being said, mine is trustworthy at 1 mph off-road, but welded steering components are not recommendable for street use no matter who does them. In many places they are actually illegal. A drop pitman arm will work for now as will a z-link. However, think ahead about where you want to go with your rig. In the long run, a quality z-link or cross-over steering will be better platforms to support your future upgrades. Only problem is they cost some serious money. <IMG SRC="smilies/crybaby2.gif" border="0">
