I could go smaller, the proxy server we have at work caches stuff for quite a while, so I uploaded the picture to my website but everytime I looked at the properties it said it was still 7k. Strange. What's the deal with the picture size? Does it make a difference if the source is on your own site? Just curious.

Thanks for fixing your pics, it helps speed up the board. I was told that pics over 5k are slowing down the board.

<font color="yellow">The deal is that for the guys who don't have blazing-fast internet connections, the pages can take quite some time to load because they have to download all these fat images every time you view another topic.

It has nothing to do with dimensions/resolution. 100x100 is what you should have, but the image has to be under 5K in size in order to comply with the POR BBS rules.

Which is WHY it's 100x100 in size in the rules. You could use a 640x480 image and the board would shrink it automatically to 100x100... but everyone still has to download the big, fat 640x480 pic in order to do so.</font>
