this is a question for a friend...

he has to rebuild his transfercase in his daily driver, he is having a heck of a time getting the main planetary gear out...he removed the snap ring, and i think he said it wiggles but will not come out. I know there is a bearing pressed on, is that preventing it to come out...i thought it would come out with the bearing on it.

There is a snap ring under the input seal housing. the planetary comes out with the input.
