: 40,45,55 what springs are inter changeable? boaty 02-24-2006, 03:47 PM does anyone know if fj40 springs front and rear are the same as 45lwb or 45lv? are 55 and 45lwb or 45lv springs interchangeable? Thanks for any help. What method do you use to figure if the springs are still good? thanks orangefj45 02-24-2006, 04:08 PM 40 and 45 front springs are identical. i know that 45 rears are on their own, longer and thicker pack. 55 rears are on their own as well, not sure about the 55 fronts but i'd assume they're different as well. dog walker 02-24-2006, 06:05 PM The 55 fronts are centered rather than offset like the 40's (I beleive). Plus the 55's have larger spring eyes which take larger diameter bushings. docroh 02-26-2006, 01:51 PM I've heard that 55 fronts are the same as 40 fronts. 55 rears are centered and have larger spring eyes...thus bushings. According to the MAF catalogue the 45 and 55 rears take the same bushing...so it seems the 45 rears may have larger spring eyes (like the 55). Mark sould have a definative answer on the 45 springs. | |
