Need to find the factory ring/pinion ratio I cant see the pinion due to the support bearing and a factory locker of some sort (brand unk) anyway the code stamped intot he ring gear is 2GM 3977384 10 41 6 79 I know the 3977384 indicates the axle ( at least I believe it does) but what about the rest?
Is it a 4:10?

Thanks, I was looking for the ratio to be indicated with the ring gear number first. Thanks again

Nice math 41 ring gear teeth divided by 10 pinion teeth would make it a 4.10 not a 4.11 correct?

.01 doest matter, seeing as how the front 10b was a 4.09 and rears are 4.11.
