i know that i can change the rear main seal

could some one tell me what else i can replace while im there
like some bearings in tranny
that doesnt requer much disassembling.

Centerforce makes a good clutch, but so is the OEM clutch. I got a centerforce, but I only paid about $25 more for it because the OEM wasn't in stock.

If the tranny or transfer case is whining or growling, it would be a good time to find out why. If not, just replace the two output seals and the seal between the tranny and T'case.

Check the cam freeze plug for leaks. It is the silver half moon at the top right of the picture. You can just see a piece of it when the bellhousing is on. If you don't have oil slinging off the flywheel and it leaks, chances are that it is the plug leaking and not the seal.

If you aren't getting any funky gear issues, grindings, noises, popping out of gear situations, or whatever, then don't bother with opening up the tranny and messing with that. Do the seal work Pin Head mentioned and that will serve you fine.

If you are having problems and opt to replace a bearing, you may as well get the WHOLE kit while you're in there. No point in only doing one bearing.

I've done one tranny job (Honda Civic) and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I need to correct a "loose" 2nd gear in my SM465 now, but instead bought a replacement tranny...price was too good to pass up.
