My buddy just bought an 87 sammi sprung over w/ 2" shackles, locked front welded rear and a grs1 for $500.00. <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">It has 29x8.50 swampers but came with an extra set of 34x9.50s. will the stock running gear hold up to these tires or should he keep the baby swampers on till he can afford toy axles or maybe even wagoneer 44s'. <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

From what I've heard you might be able to get away with 33's and up if you are not locked. But once you lock it up, you will start busting birfs and axles. Even though they are 34's, it might not be too bad since they're so narrow (much less weight than the typical 12.5).
