Can annyone tell me the best place to find the cheapest price for a Borla T-304 Stainless Steel Header for the 1997 Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0L 6-Cylinder engine???

I found Century Performance had them for $379 + s/h... That's the cheapest I've found so far, and I don't know anything about Century Performance. Any help???

Thanks,

Rob

unless your header is cracked and in pieces, why replace it? you'd be better off putting in a locker, or something else. i've cracked 3 headers on my jeep over the years, no way i would spend any real money on them. just run them till they crack, then switch.

money better spent somewhere else IMHO

No matter where you go, you'll be paying out the wazoo for somthing that's not really gonna help you for the price.

You drive a Jeep, and it's slow, learn to deal with the fact.

Yeah, what they said.

Sounds like you've bought into the whole "Jeep Marketing Machine" theory and they've convinced you that that this shiny new header is the answer to all your problems.

It isn't.

The $500 wasted on a fancy Borla header that will probably only net you a lousy 10 or so horsepower without completely re-doing your exhaust and chipping your engine would be much better spent on good tires or well, beer, or pretty much anything...

Sorry, I'm in a rambling mood this morning...

Good luck with your Borla header,
Jake

if you were going to get a header i would wait and get two quality ones for your eventual v8 swap so that you don't crack them like arronlosey. also do other things like beerf before power your 35 and 30 will thank you for it

Oh yeah. That's why instead of throwing money at a tired 4.0, I'm pickin up a 5.0 for my junk. Gonna be spendy to do it right, buy dayum, it oughtta be fun.

Unfortunately, I do have a crack in the header, that's why I need a new one. I wouldn't buy it just for the hell of it. And, since I live near the water, I thought a stainless steel header would prove better with corossion being what it is here.
So, instead of having to replace a cheaper one later on, I try to buy the right part the first time.

Anyway, thanks for all the "help"...

Rob

Have you looked at a factory cast manifold from a y2k or newer 4.0? I think that is what I am going to do when I replace my cracked, re-welded, stock tublar one I have now. Again.
