Ok guys, I see a lot of discussion about axle merits and suspension systems. Here is my question, what do you feel is best weight distribution for rock crawling? Seems to me, more weight in the front would be ideal. Also, how much of a negative effect does weight have in general. More weight generates more contact pressure. But then you just have to move that weight up and/or forward. Just curious what you think.

I think all weight is bad. The less the rig weighs, the less contact you need to get over things.
I moved nearly all the weight to the rear that I could, and ended up at 50/50, it handles great and soaks up bumps well, but I haven't been out west with it yet. I've played at badlands and never felt like it was a problem when climbing some pretty steep ledges. In Tellico it works great.
