ground to accept mini truck birf's, How can I tell if my birfs are
LC or mini truck?

Birfs come in a few categories....
'68-'75 - 10 spline outers, very obvious
'76-'77/'78 - fine spline outers, slightly smaller bell, slightly longer outer shaft length. If you run LC-based lockouts (Warn, Superwinch, stock, whatever) and you removed a c-clip from the end of the birfield shaft to remove the hub, then it's definitely Cruiser.
'78/'79+ - find spline outers, slightly larger bell, slightly shorter outer shaft length. If you run LC-based lockouts and you removed a fender washer and bolt from the end of the birfield shaft to remove the hub then it's a minitruck-type birfield. If you run Aisin hubs from a minitruck and 78+ birfields, you would use the snap ring.
Confusing, but it's difficult to describe without measurements, and I don't have them...heh
You may have a ground housing for the minitruck, or it may just be beaten up from a previous birfield break.
