Project "super sami" is almost done. I'll be putting the finishing touches on it this weekend. Jess will be making the lines for it next week and I was wondering what cv you guys are running in the rear??? I was thinking of running a toy cv from a solid axle driveline, but do not know if it bolts on or if the tcase flange can be redrilled to accept it. That's how I did the front driveline on my truck after the SAS. Thank you

Toy cv clock it 90 deg and redrill. Thats is providing you have a 89 and up sam with the larger size flanges

The pilot flange on the Toy will not fit - you must machine the Sami. t-case flange or the Toy flange a hair, Then rotate 45 degrees & drill new holes ;)

hmmm, it's an '88 guess I better call Jess and get his input, maybe he has a new flange or something. Do the larger flanges from the '89's + work on the older sammi's ?

The earlier style uses smaller bolts (use 12mm wrench) vs. the 1988.5 and newer use 14mm wrench if they are still stock bolts.

You can use the flanges from either model interchangably - just make sure you swap them from the same position.

Whenever I read your online name, I can't help but think of a volley ball with a face painted on it :D

LOL, I never thought about that, but friends have said that. They've been calling me Wilson for years now. What do you mean same position?

There are 3 flanges on each t-case.
They are not all the same, so maybe label them -
For example, the "Rear Output" from the donor needs to go on your t-case's rear output shaft.
The "Front Output" from the donor goes on your t-case front output.
And so on....

Hey I tried to find a picture of "Wilson" from Castaway for ya, but only found one of the Back of his head :D Also found some little antenna-heads, and apparently Wilson produced some actual volley balls w/ the 'face' printed on them (see Ebay).

I was jsut going to say that I was going to try fdind that for my avatar. Well, got my mission for the rest of the day. Thanks for the tips. The only flange that I'll be removing is the tcase output. Everything else is staying where it is until the guy decides to go with a 4.3 or something.
