I am looking for information from anyone who is running 315/75R16 tires on a 7.3 Power Stroke Super Duty. Currently I have 285/75R16 BFG ATs on my '99 PSD. One of my buddies is going to sell his 315/75R16 BFG ATs, and I was thinking about buying them.
I know I would need to do the front leveling kit to better clear the tires. My main questions are:
How much fuel mileage would I lose?
How would the wider tires do mounted on my stock 8" wheels?

You will have to do more than level it. those are 35's and you can only fit a 33 (305) with the leveling kit. As for the mileage, it depends on your tranny and gearing, stock gearing and an auto will cost you about 2 mpg.

he can clear those tire stock with little to no fender trimming. I know because I have done it.... The tires barely rubbed at full lock, but they fit. The leveling kit will help even more. The mileage will suffer alittle. I seemed to get 13.2 on my on board computer doing mixed driving, and I had not adjusted the speedo/odo for the size diference from stock!!!!

I guess if you are mall crawling, they will not rub. But if you plan on actually using the 4x4, they will get your fenders.

 Yeah I take my crewcab tow rig out all the time. :flipoff2:
I had those tires, on stock rims for 4 months, only rubbing I had (even light offroading) is at full lock with the steering and tire rubbing the spring. Other than that it was fine. With custom wheels/different offset you will have fender clearance issues. Here's a pic after putting an add a leaf in the front.

I'm currently running 315's on my F250. The truck has no lift. At the rear edge of the the front bumper 3/4" needed to be trimmed for clearence. At the rear of the front fender some trimming was required.
Also, I believe the stock wheels are only 7" wide, not 8". Although that may depend on year.
