:smokin: somebody has to know the answer, is there a differance between the 67-72 chevy front and rear axel assemblies and the later years 73-89?
is the distance between the spring perchs differant?

For the front, mostly bolt in. I have a 62 burban, swapped in a disc'd 44, IIRC only the shock mounts were slightly different. For the rear, a 14ff or D70 out of a 1 ton GM will bolt in, joints and shock mounts are the only major difference. I went with a Ford 60, beleive out of a 1 4x4 ton, and it bolted in, changed nothing. Tiny ass 1310 joints, and my shocks are on the factory lift blocks. Selling them if you want mine....in the classifieds.

I'd go with a factory 67-72 Eaton rear.May be a little harder to find but factory ratio's were 4.10,4.56 and 5.13.That gives you a little more $$$$ left for other upgrades if you can get the ratio you want factory. Some also have factory Detroit's too:cool2:
