Ok so I have 1996 4 runner. 3rz w59...

What will the stock suspension handle for tires? I have an extra 8" front axle waiting to rebuild, but I want to wait and see how allpro's 3link turns out for the 3rd gen runners...

Meanwhile I'd liek to build a mild wheeler on the stock suspension...with a SAS I won't be going over a 35-37" tire since it seems too big takes alot of the enjoyment from my style of wheeling.

What will an IFS system handle for DD tire size with a little trail/more so camping

direction. I'll probably be doing some trimming to make it fit. I just want a nice light duty trail rig so that if anything happens to my '83 I can still go poke my nose on the trail.

There is a noobie forum

33s and an open front diff will survive indefinitely.

You'll get a lot better info for this kind of question at 4x4wire or Yotatech. I spent a lot of time over on those sites when I bought my 3rd gen.

I've got 285/75R16's (about 33x11.5) on mine with 2.5" lift and very minor trimming of the plastic up front.

Thanks guys...

I'm looking for leads on this. Erik, I'm not going to lift it, I figure I'll trim to fit.

what kind of rims did you need to clear streering?
