: Will a SYE for NP231 fit a NP242?

The title is the question.I have a NP242 in my `87 XJ,but all I see are SYE`s advertised for NP231`s.

Don't belive so.
I think the rear shaft is a CV on the 242.

Ummm....no.I took a NP242 out of my XJ and replaced it with another NP242..........both had slip yokes........
