I have did a search and recieved mostly old threads concerning adapters for a 1990 RRC. Does anyone know of anyone that makes either an adapter for a Powerglide Trans to a 3.9 or an adapter from an Atlas to my ZF auto trans. And in your opinions, which one would be easier considering I already have both. Thanks. Daren

Check Mark's Adapters out of Oz - they have adapters for RR repowers and may be able to sort you out.

It would be easy to fab an adapter from the ZF to the Atlas because the ZF already uses a bolt on extension housing with a spud shaft to mate to the LT230 or BW. You could machine a new extension housing with the 6 bolt round bolt pattern and a new spud shaft that would have the output you would want. If you have access to a machine shop it really wouldnt be all that hard. And if you could produce them while youre at it, I'm sure you could easily make your money back...

were't early range rovers built with 727? If so you should be able to find and early tranny and use it. Now finding one would probably not be easy but i'm pretty sure there are some LR's that came from the factory with 727s.
