i am going to be going full hydraulic soon and i am wondering about where to put the tie rod. i plan to run a single cylinder ram so of coarse i'll still need a tie rod to connect one knuckle to the other. anyway with seeing pic's of people breaking knuckles with full hydro steering, i wonder if i shouln't just leve the tie rod in the stock location on my d60 and just built it beefy so it will not bend. any input and/or pic's of your setup would be appreciated. l

You could do that, I did for a while with my 44 ft. . By the time you roll the knucks for some decent caster, it is halfway to the top anyway.
Cheaper & easier to leave the tie rod in the stock location if you are going full hydro....

quit being a pussy and get a manual box out of a duece and a half with one of the little chain steering wheels. hell you will be the new trend setter.

I built a hy-steer arm out of CroMo to mount the ram and just flipped the tie rod to the top of the stock location. Seems to work so far. I used to have the ram mounted directly to the tie rod, but I considered that the ram was too low and I bent tie rods way to easy with that setup.

I have been pondering this over and over. I'm going full hydro and couldn't decide whether to go stock tie rod mount or hysteer. I *think* I am just going to leave it where it is and just have a solid tie rod build by a bud in my club. They have theirs like this and haven't bent their tie rods. Most run around 42" tires and beat the crap out of them.
i am going to built a hysteer and mount every thing behind my axle

That's the route I'd go if I didn't have my 3 link junk in the way.
