Had a friend ask what's a bigger tire that he could put on his stock 2003 1500 Ram 4x4. He has some crummy 265/70 goodyears, and want something like a BFG At. I was thinking some 285's would do the trick.

Hey moderator! This is stupid. Move my post from a Dodge area to a newbie area. Now I sure wont get an answer. I'm not a newbie to trucks, just don't own a newer model dodge. And I'm sure someone in the Dodge forum does. I posted there for a reason.

Ummmmm I ran 285s on my stock F150 ('99) and they fit perfect. I'm sure they'd work on a Dodge

Hell, I ran 33X12.5's on my stock 97 F-150. But its not a newer dodge and was looking for someone who has done this,

Thanks

I ran 285's on my 2000 ram and had no problems. I have read 33/10.5's are a little too wide with stock rims.

Well question solved. He had the tires put on yesterday. They fit just fine with no rubbing even close.
