Is any one on this board running Genuine brand of gears? I found a set of 5.29's for a sweet price but I don't know much about "Genuine". Thanks

That price won't seem so sweet when you're trying to set them up, or when they fail on you. Genuine Gears suck! I had to not use my spool in my 4runner because there was too much slop between the ring gear and the spool mounting shoulder. Run from them!!

I run Superior, however if the price is right give them a shot.

For it to be a good deal on genuines for a Toy axle, they better be less than $90.

I think he's talking metric dollars.

I was talking U.S. $90 - Assuming you've got a friend at a shop somewhere. I've gotten Superior 5.29s for $116 a while back...

I'm talking rock-bottom deals here, since he want's to know if it's a good deal, not just MSRP or something.

IMHO, if you are going to spend the time and money to set up a diff, why not spend a few extra bucks on good gears that aren't going to break? You will still be dollars ahead down the road when you will have had to replace the R&P again. KnowwhatImean?

Oh, and do a search on the toy board for Genuine Gear info, there was a post about it earlier in the week.
