I recently read an ad where they are selling a 1988 Suzuki Sunrise 4x4.
What is a Suzuki Sunrise?
Is a Samari with a decal package?
I'm just coming up to speed on Samari's and am not sure what this is.
Thanks

uh no clue, tryed googling but that did not help much either.
its probably a samurai.
Back in the late eighties when decals and stripe packages were kewl dealerships would sometimes have a decal company pimp out a certain model vehicle, give it a name and promote it as a "limited edition". And yes, many people would fall for it.:shaking:
So my only guess is the "Sunrise" package was a similar promotion by one of your local Suzuki dealers. I'd be hard pressed to think there is anything special about it as compared to another '88 Zuk.

Ya, I saw a "Denim" edition Samurai once at a dealership in North Vancouver. It had a blue denim soft top and the seats were covered in a similar bluejean kinda material.
It had mild striping decals and Limited Edition stickers on a light blue paint job, and something looked thicker/cushier about the rear passenger bench seat, but that was about it that I could see.

Take 1 88 sammy fill large water can with orange juice tequila grenadine and ice. Wheel down very nasty trail until you break something. Drink contence of water can while waiting for help to arrive.:D

Actually the Denim edition was offered throughout Canada (not sure about the States) and there were several of them around. But again it's an example of merely an appearance package and as far as drivetrain goes there isn't anything diffferent. It's not like Jeep's Rubicon where the name actually means something. If you want a hardcore Samurai......you have to build it.:D

I used to own a 91 swift 'denim edition'. interior was blue jeans and some stripes on the outside. the samurais were called 'denim machine' with the same deal

Actually it is a Pontiac Sunrise, and it is the same thing as a Geo Tracker.

My mistake.... I was thinking of the SunRunner.:shaking:
I tried searching a bit and found that they had a fancy XL-7 that they called a SunRise, but that was for 2001.
