Do the Warn axle shafts change diameter from the 30 spline end to the 31 spline ends? Or are they just cut different to allow the extra spline, i.e. at a tighter angle. Basically do they neck down towards the 30 spline end?

I believe that there is a slight change in diameter from one end to the other. But it probably isn't enough to cause a problem.
