easier than most-no special tools <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I was told I would need a berring puller or a press of some kind???????????

.I suppose you might need a berring puller, didn't consider it a special tool.If it's not to crusty you might be able to tap the flange off with a soft( brass,composit ect)hammer. if it comes down to it there is always the blue wrench (torch). HAVE FUN <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
