I did a search and found lots of information. But I was wondering if anyone has pics of just the power steering pump bracket (Or the modified smog pump bracket)

I have all the parts I need for the power steering conversion, and after I finish the tube front on the cruiser I have to get the power steering done. No more muscle man for me. I am getting to lazy for that crap. :D:D:D

Glo, I will shoot some pics when I get home but try this. Get a piece of tubing that is the same inner diameter as the bolt that used to go through the smog pump. Fit it into the smog pump bracket. Then weld a U shaped piece of flat steel to that piece of tubing. The saginaw box mounts to the u shaped piece and the tubing bolts to the bracket. Mock it up first to make sure that the PS pulley is in the right place too..

Smog pump?? What the hell is a smog pump?? ;) hahaha No smog here, and as far as I can tell....my cruiser never had it. :D:D:D DAMN!


Anyone got a smog pump bracket they wanna get rid of?? :D:D:D

Where is the best place to get the wide power steering pulley that matches the rest of the pulleys on the F engine??..I've been looking everywhere!

Ive heard something abot a one ton Ford van!...I will try Napa tomorrow.

Sloan has a bitchin P/S pump mount on his 6 in his 40. Don't know who makes it though. I think that Volvo had a wide groove pulley on the P/S pump.

Yep...One ton Ford van or 3/4 or one ton truck WITH the 460!...going to look at the local junk yard!
