What Toyota vehicles came with the factory e-lockers? I had wanted to wait for the Eaton to become available for Toys, but heard on the board that anyone who tried to come out with an e-locker for Toyotas was getting sued.:( So my, alternative is to try and find one in the junkyard that I can pull out and slap in my 85.
A search could have come up with the answers.
4Runner, Tacoma and FZJ80 landcruiser.

Yeah, all the people who can spell are the ignorant ones.:flipoff2: Ok I did search before I posted the question and found the Fj80, but I knew there were more so I asked anyway. Yeah I could have done a more thorough search but I was lazy so I posted :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: . Sorry it's lame but, that's how it is.:D

Fiddle de dee, I added an extra 'L' in calibre, you probably only relate the word to guns and not the greater use of the english language...

They started in '96 for Tacos and Runners. I got one from a '97 Runner w/4.30/1 ratio for $300 including shipping from a yard in PA.

Yes they do compare to the ARB unless you want 4:88 or 5:29. Don't get me wrong they are a hell of a deal and from what I have seen they are strong. My daughter just bought a 2002 Taco TURD,and I was try to figure out how to steal her e-locker!!!!:D :D
No one else would come out with a electric locker because they all use the sameway to actuate it. if some one tried something toyota would send there lawyers after them for patent infregment, that is until eaton came out with a ball-ramp actuation method and no all the other axles except toyota will get a new electric locker. But if you rip a cable or something you can remove the motor and manuelly actuate or disengage the locker. you cant do that with the ARB or Eaton.

Take a look at www.car-part.com they have a database with all the yards, and e-lockers go for $200-$300 on there.
