Anybody weighed theirs complete yet? No tools, or spares, just the rig?
Im thinking these would come in around 2700-3000 lbs.

2950 at the local recycling place, 11 gallons of fuel in a 2wd Toy tank, no passenger, spares etc. Corner weights made it 50% side to side and front to back with an 8" motor setback.

Either yours or Heywoods weight quote is wrong. There has got to be more weight difference between the 2 rigs than that.

I haven't weighed mine yet, but I can't imagine these things weighing that much. I'm guessing 2200 pounds at best.

001 was weighed on a certified scale accurate to the pound(2900 lbs.). I would say that 2750 lbs is the barrier. Don't think you could get one lighter than that.

Mine was weighed on about the highest end and most acurate scales you can get. Property of BMW and used for the McLaren, RR, etc.
Its four scales hooked to a computer thingy.
That said, my rig has gained about 200# since I weighed it, so its about 3150-3200# now.
We aint smart enough to build strong and light, we could only have one of the two:flipoff2:

Just weighed mine at Whitewater Rock & Supply.
It's in it's lightest form for comp. In other words the following items have been removed, the rear seat, rear harnesses, ice chest, tools & parts kit, etc.
However it did have about 12 gallons of fuel.
It came in at a whopping 3120 pounds  So much for guessing 2200 lbs :shaking:
Must be all that sheet metal. Full floor boards w/ tranny tunnel, steel hood, and aluminum roof.
I put the front end on the scale and it comes in at 1830 and the rear at 1290
I still find that hard to believe. I'm wondering if they have their scales tipped in their favor...they sell material by the ton. But I doubt that they can be too far off. I believe they have to be certified.
Dang, I'm still in shock
I think I'll go back on my Red Bull diet

Ya, It's gotta be stripped down to even get below 3000 lbs.
I agree that 2750 is doable, but it would take alot.

u could prolly save more weight by going with some custom fiberglass leaf springs that weigh like 6 lbs each.
