On my 91 4x4 the drivers door sags ever so slightly and rubs against the fender. I looked at it and the bottom hinge pin is loose. Are there bushing down there that can be replaced. Or is there another way to fix it. If not how hard is it to replace the bushing or whatever else I would need to. Thanks in advance.

Well, you can go to a junkyard and get a new set of hinges, or get them from the dealer. But I guess you could also cut/drill out the old pins, get the holes back round by drilling them oversize, then insert a large bolt as a new pin. Personally, I'd just get new hinges, that's what I did on mine.

Go to you local auto store and look through their selection of pins and bushings for a chevy... with a little filing of drilling on the hindge teh chevy bushings and pins will slide right in ... I just used a file thats how little material had to be taken off... better than paying 85$$ that toyota quoted me for new hing's and teh $4.00 that i paied for teh parts to fix 2 hing's... yess i cant spell eather ...hehe

There is a small amount of play in the door and fender mounting. I took my doors and fenders off when I was working on my truck, but when I reassembled everything my driver side door did what yours does. To fix this, all I did was loosen the fender bolts, push the fender towards the front of the truck (i had already broken the silicone seal when I removed the fenders the first time) and retightened the bolts. Viola no more rubbing. I know its kinda cheating, but if it works for you, It will save your fenders and your sanity until you can get around to a more permanent fix.

Do a search on removable doors... follow the same procedure for drilling out your pins and replacing them with removable cotter pins. Now your doors are removable and your play is gone for around 4 dollars in cottar pins and a little elbow grease.

If you price hinges from a dealer then you will probably turn different colors.

You might be able to find some good ones in a junk yard but you would still pay more for that then you would for the cottar pins.

Alternatively... you can drive 500 miles one way across a good chunk of the country... buy some used doors in better shape than your current doors, and get the hinges with them... then get back in the car and drive 500 miles back home. That is what I did.

I stuffed one of my 36s into the fender (pre-SAS) hard enough to cause this. I just bent the fender out with a crowbar, and hit the area where the paint was scraped off with a fresh coat of Krylon Ultra-Flat. But maybe you better try the cotter-pin fix...
