I have a 76 axle I picked up that has been set up for a SO, and I finally got to looking at the DBs of 76 parts car to start yanking parts out to get the SO axle all together. The corrosion was awful. Do you think these brakes are salvagable? Think I can save the discs, but get new calipers, or can they be saved??

Outer appearance on calipers isn't critical, need to check the rubber boots arounf d the pistons. If these are torn or cracked I would get new calipers. I would have the rotors turned, check them for min thickness, usually stamped on the inside of the rotor. Looks like your going to have to take the hubs off anyways, because of the broken lugs, so you can check everything out, clean it up, replace whats needed.:skull:

Thanks. I'll keep all that in mind during the tear down.
Yep, the hubs are coming off, in fact, everything will come out and transferred over to other 76 axle that I have.

Nope, no photo chopping. That's 3 of my 4 yellow labs. The one on the left, Laika, is momma to the one in the middle,Mucho Libra, his cousin, Schemer, is on the right and his sister, Maggie, is walking around outside of the picture with a stick in her mouth!:)
