Mainly interested in how you guys mounted saginaw boxes to your frame....after gettting the 37's I've broke my bracket twice in the the last 2 TDS trips...

I'm leaning towards something like Currie Had on the FireAnt when I saw it last year at TDS...similar to a standard mounting plate, but it also boxes the front of the box and attached to the crossmember in front of the box.....I was also thinking about a brace to the other side of the frame. It would be supportedfrom 3 directions (points) so I don't think it would move....any thoughts, ideas, comments and or PICS would be appreciated :D

TIA,
PSD

hey Newbie I think yellow sub is the last person you need to tell to search...

I saw a heep this weekend that had a large plate/box that filled in his front frame area (bumper to grill) and tiedinto his whinch mounts..

maybe overkill but it looked like it worked sweet . only problem I see is you would have to keep an eye on everything if you have a winch so nothing loosened up and went BANG

sorry no pics though...

SILLY NEWBIES!!!

Sam's offroad has a kick ass bracket. I dont even have a brace on mine and havn't had any problems. And it's been thrashed on.

Here are some pics of the Sam's/MORE design.

If you gots what they call skills, wouldn't be hard to fab, 4 plates and some spacers.

I didn't have anything that would weld that thick, so I paid. Not a bad investment, but a little steep. Works well though.

When did we get a search feature??

Mike, just because you Mickey moused your's on the side of true big sluice and I Mickey Moused mine in a parking lot somewhere between Salton City and Indio doesn't make yours better :flipoff2:

I actually forgot to look at it in the last 2 months you've had it fixed properly...:)

I'm still open for suggestions and pics from everyone/anyone...

oh and it's a '62 Willys Wagon for those of you that don't know...(someone e-mailed me, apparently too shy to post ;))

Here is a picture of mine on my Cruiser. I have my frame sleeved with spacers where the bolts go through it.

dude, why didn't you say it was a willys wagon, that changes everything!!! i just did my 59 wagon. i used 1" solid round, drilled them, notched the frame on top, drilled through the shackle hanger, mocked everything up and welded it in.
no pics yet.
