I'm not going to call you a newbie, but search!!

Go triangle.

Of course, if you want to SOA, Skysaggers would do just fine.

there's plenty of saw-zall room, just ask Tom.

4" springs and a SOA? Damn, that thing's gonna be tall:eek: That's like 9" of total lift! Better make sure you have a really strong roll bar :skull:

I fit 36's with 2" Skyjackers and a SOA. 4's or way to much, And personally i prefere the SkyJackers, I have ran 2 4" Kits and 2 2" kits on 4 differnet trucks and have never had any problems with them sagging 2 sets on Terras, 1 traveler, and 1 scout 2 they ride and handle great and flex really well. I have also ran 4" Superlifts they ride like a tank and don't flex to good, and also ran a set of 4" Triangles about 5 years ago and they where even worse and sag in the rear pretty fast. Last week i did bend a 2" Skyjacker rear main leaf but they have sered me well for the last 4 years, I think will get a nother set of Skyjackers or maybe try Alcan.

9"? i don't think so. SOA nets about 2", and i will have a damn strong full cage built by myself and whoever else wants  . i rethought tires. thinkin' somewhere around 38's. i'm fabbin' new inner fenders for the front and some big arse rear wheel tubs. i am pretty sure the lift springs will just be temporary so i can drive it down to texas and hit some trails and then i'll wanna make a triangulated 4 link for the rear and coils all the way around. oh, and the reason i am putting all this time into a traveler and not an sII is because i grew up with this scout and my dad just died last summer and it was left to me. he'll probably role over in his grave when it's done.

SOA stands for Spring Over Axle and WILL get you about 5" of lift by itself. And you will have a very tall Scout. If you keep the stock width axles it's not going to be stable. And if you wheel it hard it'll probably end up on its side or its roof. With what you are planning down the road and the fact that you aren't afraind of the sawzall, why don't you just spring it over on stock springs, hack the fenders and save the cost of lift springs and added expenses of a 9" lift. You could run 35s until you get all the right stuff to go all out on 38s with coils and axles that can handle them. My $.02

Wow, thats a ton of lift on a scout. I though about doing a four inch w/soa but scrapped it with height issues. If your really stuck on doing that swap axles to a full size. This will at least help a little before you go over. I decided to a soa with 2" add leaves in rear with a 3 inch body but might scrapp the 2 in cuz there:rainbow: Stay modest in height it wont help to be 4 feet in the air only to tip over on a tiny rock. Since you dont seem to be afraid to cut it I d say chop the shi* out of it with as little lift as possible
