: WTF?!? How do I get at this? 4-runnin 04-04-2002, 08:22 PM I am trying to get my intake manifold off and I can not figure out for the life of me how to get at the two damned bolts dircetly underneath the manifold? One of the bolts is directly underneath the thermostat housing. I have tried and tried and tried. Thanks. SeaBass44 04-04-2002, 08:45 PM it is the oddball, use a long allen head with the ball taper cut in the stright end, lets u go at an angle.it's a 6 or 8mm. I am guessing from your other post this is efi, correct? 5spd 04-04-2002, 08:51 PM I never had a problem with those....allen head socket on one and an extension on the other swivel type.....pull right out..... mwoodruff 04-05-2002, 07:59 AM Put a spark plug socket on the short end of the allen, then stick an extention in the spark plug socket.......gives you a lot of leverage.
