Anyone out there making 35 spline 1480 yokes? Im building a new front axle, and dont have any shafts to start with, and id like to have something stronger than the stock D60 re-splined stuff. I already have some rear 35 spline warn FF shafts, so if i can find some GOOD yokes, I can have these warns re-splined.

yes spicer makes a 35 spline drive shaft yoke. it is for a crystler dana 80. you would run u bolts on it. the boys down at sunray engeering in texas have been building front axles this way for a few years with good results.

i order one and it is setting in my garage. i ended up having custom made 40 spline cro-moly yokes made for my new front 60

LOL, are you kidding me? Not sure about the Chro-Mo comment but EVERYTHING these guys do is custom!

AWESOME quality and customer service too. If you are local, you should definately check them out!

Just to add something,

I bought some brand-new spicer 1410 yokes for my
D-60. They are the "strap-type" though, not the
U-bolt type. I have heard the way to run these
is to have a machine-shop mill the hole out for
the large u-bolt.

I have encountered 2 sizes of U bolts in my
pick-n-pull raids. There is a 5/16, and a 3/8"
size. And, there are both fine thread, and
course threads for that 3/8" ubolt...

Does anyone know a spicer p/n for the 3/8" fine
thread ubolt?? I've been collecting some at
p-n-p, but I'd rather just buy some new ones...

Thanks,

Swamper502 - you must have found your drugs, 'cause you're not making any sense. Nolen's 9"-60 hybrid is from Sunray - i would call that a "custom" axle. Are you sure you called the right place. It's Sunray Engineering, not Sunray Donuts, mmmkay.

see you in moab...
