I like what I am seeing. Maybe my tube project will get more radical then originally planned. JD2 shipped my 1.5" die Monday!

Firewall

Connected to the existing cage via a regular roll cage "foot" and 4 grade 8 bolts per side. I could have ran straight into the cage with a the tube but decided it would better to be able to take the body if need be.

Front

I am gonna run something pretty simimlar to your setup Jason. One big hoop up front with to bars coming down to it. Hopefully not covering the headlight.

As for the tube project............just wait and see what's next! My objective is to have a VERY durable cruiser..........that.......get this..........still some what looks like a cruiser. Hence the tubing "Behind" the grill intead of the traditional exo-cage look.

Small suggestion here GLO. Take that top piece and kick it back at the same angle as the front of the hood;)

With how close it is to the hood, that is as far back as it goes and still allow the hood to open. :D:D:D

Tried that already. :D

OOPS...Didn't think about the hood. That would have really sucked:eek: :D

Would have?? haha IT DID!! I notched it, test fit it, thought hell yeah looks killer!! and tacked it on. (Thank god I only tacked the sucker) and then tried to open the hood. hahaha

OK so here is a lame question.....what color?? Stay with yellow like the roll bar?

I was thinking of maybe changing all the yellow to hammerrite silver.

I vote for silver...it will offset the orange much better! Looks FINE!

Is your roll bar tied to the frame? The one issue that I can think of is during extreme off camber situations the frame is going to flex, and so is your new front hooptie bar. Might cause fatigue and cracking where it ties into the rollbar. Only testing will find out if I'm full of it or not, hopefully I am.
I would paint it black...Black and orange IMO look better, thats what mine is....:skull:

If it flex's the frame too much for the tube work i'd have to say...

Stitch weld the frame. :D
yeh baby!

Diggin in, but, I'm not too hot on the silver idea... go wit black or..... black, go with black.

nice work.
