Ok, this aint meant to be a flame on trail ready beadlocks, but WTF, been 5 weeks waiting, and now they say they are outa 6 lug centers, and going to be another 2 weeks at the very least, anybody else have this issue?? granted, mine a re a custom backspacing, so from what i understand they make runs of a certain wheel so that can contribute to the dealy also....

We waited about a month for them one time, but they're great bead locks and worth the wait

When you have to wait that long it gives you chance to look at other types of products...

My wife ordered my beadlocks from trailready to be a big suprise well it was about 2 weeks and no beadlocks so she finally told me what she did. Well the first shipment of wheels got lost on was damaged well in the long run I got 2 to my house and still was waitning for two! So I called every couple of days to find out what happened so one lucky night I gotthrough to the owner and he did straighten out my situation! I now have four beadlocks here and it ha sbeen about 5 to 6 weeks but they sent four new ones out and sent call tags for the other two that I had here, they could not match my set! well that has been my experiance with tr the wheels are excellant!
ps
avalanche wheels are the same...

Has anyone had any better luck with a Avalanche! I was going to order some today. I would like to have them in about 3 weeks. Is that possible? I want the 8 lug in 2.5" backspacing.

TR makes them for Avalanche

I waited 2-1/2 monthes for my TR's.
Due to a problem they will be replacing mine. I know today they are still waiting to receive 6 lug wheel halves, and they have a pretty large backorder.
Brent at TR also assured me that the weld jigs and inspection process has recently been improved. Quality is a high priority.

Watch out for Allied/High-Impact. They are f@cked up with a move right now and my "at your door in 3 weeks" beadlocks are now my "I hope I get them in 7-8 weeks" beadlocks

Steve and I have used alot of wheel companies in the last seven years( at Avalanche ). I have yet to use a company that can consistantly have a delivery time under 3 weeks, to include Champion, Tru-design, MRT and others. Please be patient with TR and inturn the Avalanche wheels, TR is going through some serious growing pains. They are working diligently twords increased delivery times. To re-enforce past posts the Avalanche series wheel uses 3/8 stainless button heads, the standerd TR uses 5/16 grade 8 bolts. Thanks Clifton :jeep:

Mine took a month to get. But they are 2" BS and I am very impressed with them. I was also told it would take a while to make.
Worth the wait IMHO

And the problem with Champions are that they are really hard to get in a 2" BS

I just got off the phone with TR. I ordered my wheels on Monday and they just told be that all the parts are in stock and my wheels will ship probably the week after next.

Oh yeah I am going 8 lug! :flipoff2:

It must be a 6 lug Yota thing, and I definetly don't uderstand! :D

its scary when people say they were damaged in shipping. if they cant survive a ride in the back of a truck how will they survive a big heavy vehicle on top of them driving through the rocks?

Apparently you havent dealt with UPS or Fed-Ex much! They could break a CTM joint that was rapped in bubble rap. They throw, crush and drop boxes at the extreme levels. We received a package with dual tire tracks on it (Hint: ran over by the back of the truck) and they were puzzled when we wanted them to pay for the damages.

Wheels are usually sent in a cardboard box with no padding on the edges. Especially with a heavy steel wheel they will just throw them out of the truck.

thats good because I saw four sets driving down here over EJS (many more sets that were parked) and all the ones I saw moving were crooked, doin the wobble wobble??

What gives? did TR make em crooked or was it the result of a bad KIT ??

any opinions here?

I have installed a couple of sets of the Trail Ready beadlocks at work, and I think the design (tire centering rib) is awesome. Anyone have any experience with beating the shit out of the aluminum ring? I want to buy a set, but the other mechanic at my shop keeps trying to talk me out of them because they dont have as many bolts as some other beadlocks (allied) and the aluminum ring.

Any opinions, good or bad?
Thanks,

Ryan

The aluminum ring is almost 1/2" thick and if you have installed them you will know that they are not light. the AL alloy is very strong and puts up with abuse well. If you are worried that the finish will wear off you are correct but these are for off road rigs not some poser :rainbow: mall rigs. Comparing the outer ring to an allied rim is apples to oranges. the allied rim is much weaker.. If the amount of bolts bothers you take the to a machine shop and have another set of holes drilled into them.

the TR's are the best wheel out there. The bead lock is big and thick and won't bend like the other wheels out there. I compete in the rock crawling events and I abuse my wheels. These are the first set of beadlocks that I dont have to put more air in before I go out and climb. The others all leak after some abuse. They may take sometime to get but its worth the wait. Look around everyone has them now. I think they are having problems w/ the wheel supplier getting the wheels to them. I won't buy another brand beadlock.

Some of you need to learn what a joke is

Look at the comments you made - if that doesn't look like some paid advertising blurb I don't know what does :p

TR beadlocks are the best. They saved my kitten from a tree. They put out a house fire last month. They walked an old lady across the street. They deliver food to the poor...

But some how, some way, they were unable to bring pure-adrenaline a SENSE OF HUMOR :laughing::laughing:

All I can say is TR beadlocks must be good if you consider all the ARCA rigs running them. I think they look kick ass. I was leaning towards Champion, but I don't know now.
