Hi there,
has anyone of you already installed Megasquirt to the Rover V8 ?
I´m thinking about doing that with EDIS to a 4.6 - if funds allow to get such a short engine. I´d be interested in the fuel mapping and mounting of the ignition stuff. Pics would be great
This is a cute video about the HUMMER. Should be off-topic, or Jeep-Forum - maybe.

I know a guy who has a megasquirt for his rangie. But he has yet to install it.
On a semi-related note. Under the dash of my parts rangie I found a black box with "High Performance System 2000" written on it and 2 8 pin connectors.
It appears to be used to modify the signal from the afm to trick the ECU into dishing out more fuel.
Given my rangie is diesel, I gave it to the guy above to try on his 86 EFI, no news yet.

Hi, try asking (or searching) over at: http://forums.lr4x4.com/ for MS.
There are a few guys there who have done it & know what they're talking about.

I am going to be converting over to megasquirt in the near future. I am installing it on a 2.25 petrol 109, so its a little harder than what you are going to do. You've already got most of the hardware, now all you really need to do is tap in for 2 more sensors and you are good to go.
On my 109, I have to install a bunch o' crap like fuel pump, adapt a TBI, wiring out the ying yang, etc.
If you already have EFI, don't screw with it. You will easily spend 500 bucks to convert over to megasquirt. So 500 bucks for a marginal upgrade, probably not worth it.
Now if you are carb'ed, then go for it.
try track down a "dave white" in the UK. He has been megasquirting a rover v8 for a while now.

Your best bet will be to talk to these guys here: http://www.cobraclub.com/ in the forums section. the information is not necessarily specific to Land Rovers, but is specific to Rover V8s as installed into cobra kit cars in the UK. I have been consistently amazed by the amount of Rover EFI knowledge that circulates on that board, and they are all very willing to help.
