: 5spd to 3spd auto-TJ(Search down) cacti 03-12-2006, 04:18 PM Whats needed besides the obvious?? I have 88YJ 3spd auto, shifter, kickdown cable, radiator, & lines.CPS will need to be installed on trans & plan to wire in a switch for converter lock-up.What am I overlooking?? This is going into a 99TJ-both Jeeps had the 6cyl. Murfman 03-13-2006, 12:42 AM what kind of xmsn? TF727? if so, you will have to fab a mount. I made mine out of 2x2 and 1x1 box steel. You will also need a flex plate.
