I never did understand the way they do the front legs on those cages.. seems to me that angle iron stuff would fold in a hard roll, possibly causing more damage to the passengers and driver than a solid peice of DOM would. Also, if you were going to add rear bars, why did you not just spend a bit more money, and buy poison spyders full trail cage instead of just the front?

i dont like how the full cage takes away the head room in the back. this jeep is my everyday daily driver. i also have 4 people in it alot so i wanted to protect them if a rollover should happen.

If you want to protect rear passengers, I'd add a bar above their heads. At least connect the two side bars at the rear so there is a "box" over their heads. For real protection, add the same center bars that protect *your* head, or better yet, put in an "X".

As it sits now, the rear sides will just fold in...

Other than that, looking good! Attaching it to the cowl in the front should be plenty strong. Might crinkle the tub if you roll, but should protect the occupants.

you gotta add something in the rear, even if u flopped on its side, those are gonna fold in. i would run a bar across the top of the rear tube, then angle some tube from the corners to meet up with the front spreaders. maybe put a bend in them. something like this. then if you want to take if further gusset it with the yellow lines i added either with tube, or get ya some PSC signature gussets to compliment the front cage.

i added a strait bar that goes inbetween the two rear corner bars. it is about where biggreentj put the lower orange on the pic he edited.

As allready mentioned,the front looks pretty decent but you should probably add to the back half...Good luck.

If your at all concerned for the safety of rear seated passengers, you need to build that cage with the same protection in the rear as in the front. Biggreen is on the right track, I`d add what he suggested. The best build would have been a halo bar overhead with an X in the middle attached at the main bar and vertical supports from the back down to the frame.

i would start by adding the other orange tubes i put in that pic, then there are alot of other options, an x behind the seat would be a great idea, then maybe something off the back to tie your new bar into the rest of the cage
