I have a tubro 350 thats leaking from the front seal. Well sould I say its not leak its a flood. My ? is what parts do I need to stop it. Its between rear of torque converter and front of transmission. the trans work great and the oil is red and has no smell. How hard will this be to fix or will it need to go to the shop.
pull the engine or pull the t-case/tranny back to get it. A good days worth of work...

Do what I do. Carry a spare gallon or 2 of tranny fluid, and park over kitty litter....
Seriously, you have to pull the engine, or tranny. I'm going to do the tranny, because in my case it's easier. It's a lot of work for a 5.00 seal...
Check everything else out first, look for leaking cooling lines, etc. The front seal on a tranny is a bear!
Good Luck!

I will pull the trans/transfer. Saterday. I checked all the other spots it might have come from but no other leaks. I do have a trans jack so that helps. Don't have to do it in the dirt, so that good.

Will got every thing pulled apart on saterday, about 3 hours to pull apart, but can't get the new seal until monday. I have a 203 transfer case it has a alum. tell shaft cover and the old one had steel one, what the differents? Just a different year!

It's been years since I've done anything to a GM auto, so my memory may be a little vague .
While the tranny is out, maybe check the front pump seal, it's an O-ring thew same diameter as a cantaloupe, or close to it.
Just a thought while you're there.
